Mrs.K takes a dip at the Fall Festival!
No worries-an insider source said that the
water was warm:)
In science, we are going to do an experiment
with soil.  Please bring in a little bag of dirt and
a separate container with a lid.
In writing, we are exploring character traits.
We are creating a person and writing a story
about them.
In reading, we are continuing to work on our
CEIEIO reflections.
Later,

Flexible Grouping Rules!!

Parents,
As you know we have found that flexible grouping in math and reading helps students to really develop skills they need for math and reading at their individual levels.  We have already start flexible grouping with Math Unit 2 and hope to start switching in reading after Fall Break.  Flexible grouping allows us to preassess concepts, then put students in groups with others that are about the same level.  Students may switch in and out of these groups depending on their need.  As a way to keep you better informed about homework, we have created a Google Doc that will have homework listed for each teacher.  Your child will have an opportunity to write this homework in their planner everyday, but it is also here for your knowledge, as well.  Right now, we are only listing math.  You will be able to access this link on our Homework Policy page all year. Shel Silverstein.com

Shel Silverstein.com is a good website for people who can't read .I think this because when I went to play on Shel Silverstein.com all I could figure out how to do was buy books. Well I did find out how to watch videos on some of his poems. You know were someone reads you the book or in this case a poem and shows you little clip of the pictures?

I would probably rate the website Shel Silverstein.com at a 2(good). This isn't the best website especially for kids our age because we don't need someone reading a poem to us. You can read, right? We all  can! But this is a good website for kids that cant read that's why I didn't put a 1 and I put a 2.
