As you know we have found that flexible grouping in math and reading helps students to really develop skills they need for math and reading at their individual levels. We have already start flexible grouping with Math Unit 2 and hope to start switching in reading after Fall Break. Flexible grouping allows us to preassess concepts, then put students in groups with others that are about the same level. Students may switch in and out of these groups depending on their need. As a way to keep you better informed about homework, we have created a Google Doc that will have homework listed for each teacher. Your child will have an opportunity to write this homework in their planner everyday, but it is also here for your knowledge, as well. Right now, we are only listing math. You will be able to access this link on our Homework Policy page all year. Below is the link:
