I am so happy to see so many students really diving into our reading program this year. Many students have already completed bookmarks and are on their way to getting their Read Across America map completed this year. I would love to hear about some of the books that you guys are reading. Feel free to comment at anytime to this post and let me know about a book you are reading or one that you suggest your classmates read.

I would recomend the series of unfortunate events. I was doing Read Across America and a friend suggested it. I read the first one and it is great!! It is about three kids whose parents died in a fire. They were sent to live with a relitive that they did not know. He was mean and beat the kids but worst of all he almost got a hold of the Baudelaire fortion. I would recomend this book to a friend because it describes things very well. I also like it because it has a mystery to figure out. Will Count Olaof steel the Baudelaire fortion? 7P
ReplyDeleteI read a book called "smiles to go" by Jerry Spinelli. This book is about two friends falling in love. I recommend this book to everyone who is reading this. This book is one of my favorites of all time.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I love about Jerry Spinelli is his descriptive words. For anyone reading this blog must read any of his books

ReplyDeleteI would recommend the book series of "Brian's Hunt" by Gary Paulsen. This book talks about a kid who has no parents and lives in the wild. He learns to survive with a bow and arrow and a canoe. He hunts and kills wild animals such as birds, deer, and moose. Read this book to find out what else he does to make it on his own. 4P
I would really recommend the book Canterwood Crest (Take The Reins) by Jessica Burkhart. Thats the only book I have read in the series, but I bet the other ones are good too. You should read Canterwood Crest if you like horses and (or) adventure. The book is about Sasha Silver going from Briar Creek to Canterwood Crest. Sasha knows she's in trouble. She's not exactly welcomed. One group of girls in paticular is used to being the best, the brightest, and the prettiest on the team, and when Sasha shows her skills in the arena, the girls claws come out. Sasha is determined to prove that she belongs at Canterwood. Will she rise to the occasion and make the advanced riding team by the end of the semester? Or will the pressure send Sasha packing? Read the book to find out. Plus when you start reading you can't stop. Thats why I recommend Canterwood Crest (Take The Reins).
